Fruit Bouquet by 1-800-Flowers (A Review)

18 Sep

Last Saturday afternoon, there was a knock on my door and I opened it to find a “Cup of Cheer” Fruit Bouquet!  Fruit Bouquets by 1800Flowers offered to send me one of their beautiful fruit arrangments to enjoy and review.  A bunch of fresh fruit with a little bit of chocolate…how could I say no? 😉

All smiles for my cup of cheer (and my sweet tie-dye shirt)!

If you haven’t been lucky enough to receive one of these yet, here is a little background information right from the source:

1-800-Flowers.com, the world’s leading florist and gift shop is breaking into the fruit industry with Fruit Bouquets by 1-800-Flowers.com. The brand’s network of professional floral designers are now moving towards becoming fruit artisans, designing truly original floral arrangements and fruit bouquets available in-store.

Whether you’re hosting a party or surprising someone special just because, Fruit Bouquets are fresh and festive fruit arrangements that make every celebration sweeter – hand-delivered to your doorstep. Fruit Bouquets by 1-800-Flowers.com are available online at www.fruitbouquets.com or at your local 1-800-Flowers floral shop.

Many of the product offerings arrive with fresh fruit hand-dipped in real chocolate. Melons and Berries and Grapes, Oh My!

So did my Cup of Cheer measure up to these great expectations?  Absolutely!

The fruit was fresh and came in nice big hand-carved pieces.  I’m not usually a fan of sending or receiving actual flowers because they die too quickly, so the pineapple flower design is perfect in these arrangements.  And let me tell you, they really pack a lot of fruit into that little coffee cup!  So much that I had enough to snack on for a few days, even after sharing with boyfriend and friends!  There was a good variety of fruits (apples, cantelope, honeydew, grapes, pineapple and strawberries) and just the right amount of chocolate-dipped ones!  Honestly, my only criticism would be that the chocolate dipped fruit only came in milk or white chocolate.  I’d love to see some dark chocolate pieces in there, as dark chocolate is my favorite!!!

For the purposes of doing a comprehensive review, I clicked over to the Fruit Bouquet website to check out their other arrangement options.  I really like that they have different choices for whatever price point you need and they offer seasonal and themed bouquets.  Seriously, go check out how adorable the chocolate-covered strawberry footballs are!  You can also send boxes of just chocolate-covered fruit, including blueberries, grapes, apples, pears and even apricots!  Another interesting product that stood out to me was their Belgian Chocolate Covered Jalapenos.  Sounds amazing!

I’ll absolutely be sending some fruit bouquets for friends and family in the future!  And if you happen to be looking for a gift for me…chocolate-covered anything will be much appreciated! 🙂

So tell me…have you ever sent or received a fruit bouquet? Would you enjoy one as gift?

Horrible experience all around. No confirmation of order, no confirmation of delivery, I asked for delivery after 2:30 pm and they (supposedly) delivered at 1 pm.
Do not give these crooks your business
