My Best of 2013!

Can you believe it’s the last day of the year?  Tomorrow marks the beginning of a brand new year and I’m excited for all sorts of new adventures.  2013 was a great year for me, despite some setbacks with regards to my big goal of training for and running a marathon. Since I already recapped my year in running, I figured it might be fun to do a post with this year’s highlights not just in running…but in life overall!  Let’s recap:



Okay, so the first thing just happens to be running-related…I ran the Disney World Half Marathon with my dad in January.  He ran the Goofy Challenge (aka 13.1 miles Saturday and 26.2 on Sunday).  Insane.  But love running with that guy.


My little nephew man was born. ❤


Turns out February was a slow month for me…But my roommate moved away and I hung out with this guy a lot:


And took a lot of naps with this guy:



ran the NYC Half with my dad.  My cousin also ran it as her first half and kicked butt!

I also ran the 5k of the 13.1 New York races, then cheered on my friends for their half!



Had an amazing runner ladies weekend in D.C. running the Cherry Blossom 10-mile race!



Celebrated my 27th birthday at the Bohemian Beer Garden!


I travelled to beautiful upstate NY to celebrate my college roomie becoming an RN!

Okay, so June was pretty sweat-based too….

I attended a Nike Free Event with my friends, got a bunch of Nike swag and did an incredible workout on the Williamsburg Bridge with trainer Holly Rilinger


Ran the NYRR Mini 10K with (almost) all of my favorite runner friends!


I had an absolute blast running the Rugged Maniac in Brooklyn with family and friends.

I celebrated 4th of July by running the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta…

…and had an amazing ATL visit with Hails.


I saw Blake Shelton, Easton Corbin and Jana Kramer at Jones Beach with Liz!



I transferred my blog over to!we-have-moved

Beth and I went to a kickass workout at Barry’s Bootcamp hosted by Chobani.


Marathon training kicked into high gear, and I participated in NYC’s Summer Streets for the first time ever.

I recovered from all that running with lots of ice cream with the boyfriend.



I temporarily moved in with my cousin and her fiance, had a visit from my old roomate and enjoyed the Beer Garden in the fall!



I PRed the heck out of the Wineglass Half Marathon


And had another amazing runner ladies weekend! [Why don’t we have a photo of all of us, ladies??]


After all that running, I took some more naps:


I celebrated my favorite holiday, Halloween!



I cheered for the NYC marathon with Abby and Steph.

I took a mini-vacation with the bf.  We ate and drank and saw a lot of waterfalls. 🙂


And visited my college BFFs/celebrated an engagement!


I got injured, cried A LOT and finally decided to DNS The Philly Marathon 😦

On Thanksgiving, I ran a pain free 5k Turkey Trot with my dad, cousin and her fiance!

I moved out of the city and in with the boyfriend! (This is us…not in the city.  And eating ice cream, which we do too much often)1394378_424381957684133_1912786713_n

I froze my butt off at another crazy Nike event, this time on Ellis Island!


 I earned guaranteed entry for NYCM 2014. Marathon training take I come?


We celebrated Christmas in our new home!


2013 was good to me, and I can only imagine with 2014 will have in store!  Happy New Year to you all!

    WOW! You’ve certainly had a fantastic year. I’m SO happy for you for all of the wonderful things that have come your way in 2013. I’m so happy that I was a part of so many of them.
