Happy National Running Day!

4 Jun

Hi friends! Today is National Running Day, so I celebrated bright and early this morning with a 5K before work.  It was humid but cool, I paid absolutely no attention to my pace and got lost in my thoughts.  It was one of those runs that reminds you why you run.  Last year, I celebrated with a post about the reasons that I run.  Those reasons haven’t changed much this year:

To continue the running celebration, here are some of my favorite running moments from the past year:

Rugged Maniac NYC 2013

20 freakin miles!

First race of 2014!

Cherry Blossom 2014

Finally going sub-2 in Brooklyn!

I think it’s pretty obvious that running is a huge part of my life and I am so thankful for all of the amazing experiences and people it has introduced me to.  So although today is National Running Day, I think I’ll go ahead and celebrate all year round again.  🙂

Tell me…are you celebrating National Running Day? What are your favorite running moments from the past year?

I love this post! I’m pretty sure that I loved your running post last year. I love that running is what brought my buddy into my life. I am forever grateful for running. And YOU. I have so many amazing running memories with you and I can’t wait to make so many more for many more years to come. Love you, running buddy! You are my #runningbuddyforever #runningbuddyinpocket and you will always have a special place in my heart.
