Hi friends! This week has been pretty hectic for me, but started out nicely on Monday (an otherwise dreary and stormy day) with my latest Stitch Fix delivery!  For those who don’t know about Stitch Fix yet (how can you not?!), you can read more about it in my first post.  And be sure to check out my second fix here.  I can’t say enough how fun of a service this is and how much I look forward to my fixes.  Although I do schedule them every other month so I keep the spending down (and boyfriend doesn’t kill me..). 😉  So without further ado, here’s what I got this time around:

Initial peek into my fix!

As usual, when I got the e-mail that my Fix had shipped, I stalked my items online.  I was psyched to see that they sent me the bag I requested! I had seen it Meghann’s last fix and fell in love.  I loved the color, the size, the detailing.  Well, I don’t really love the smaller strap, which has gold chains (not pictured)…but I’m wearing it as a cross body bag and am obsessed.  And I’ve already gotten so many compliments on it!

inside view-lots of pockets, zippers, etc

I had also put in the notes to my stylist that I have lots of bridal showers, weddings, etc. this summer so I’d love some cute dresses that I could wear for those.  I try to be pretty detailed in my feedback and requests, as well as have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to Stitch Fix, so I was sort of disappointed when I pulled everything else out and tried it on.

First up, the Lois Geo Print Wrap Dress.  I think I would’ve loved this dress if it was in any other color.  This bubblegum pink is just not for me and the belt was a string (vs. thicker ones common on wrap dresses).  Otherwise, the dress fit well and was comfortable…just not my style.

Next, I tried on the Elisa Sleeveless Multi Print Hi-Lo Dress.  In hindsight, I wish I had taken a closer-up picture of the pattern, but it was again…not my style.  It looked very “forever21-ish” and honestly the material felt that way too.  It looked and felt okay on, but I knew this was being sent back immediately.

The second I saw the next piece, I had deja vu of the orange/white striped dress from my 2nd fix.  I had left feedback that I wasn’t a fan of that color/pattern so I’m not sure how this skirt ended up with me.  For those stalking their current fixes, this skirt is the Walt Striped Skirt by 41Hawthorn.  A lot of people said they liked this piece that I just paired with a plain white tank, but it didn’t fit well (tight in the back) and was overpriced IMO.  Sent back!IMG_7501[1]And my last piece was the Vallejo Double Button Henley Tank.  I was not impressed when I first picked it up, as the cotton felt really thin/cheap and the buttons look like shells.  I ended up liking how it looked on, but wasn’t sure what I would actually wear it with.  It also is a hi-lo top and was fairly long when I paired it with shorts.  Sent back!
IMG_7502[1]All in all, my least favorite fix yet.  I tweeted that I felt like my stylist totally missed the mark on this one, and Stitch Fix immediately responded that I should contact customer service.  They must not know me very well yet, because I already had! 🙂  I just felt like everyone I know (or know via internet) has been getting better and better fixes each time, as they give feedback and they stylists start to understand their likes/dislikes.  I did not feel like that was the case for me, so I sent a message to CS and let them know I was bummed.  Let me just say, their customer service is fantastic.  They offered to match me up with a more senior stylist and credited me the $20 styling fee toward my next fix.  Much appreciated!  I also gave them a lot more information on my preferences, which she noted in my account.  Thanks, Stitch Fix! 🙂

Next fix is set to arrive in September, so stay tuned.  And in the meantime, go get yourself a fix!

What did you think of my 3rd fix?  What would you have kept?  Have you ever gotten a less-than-stellar Stitch Fix?
